Today, Universidad Popular hosted a Disaster Preparedness Workshop at Glen View. Universidad Popular community educator, Vanessa Sifuentes, taught parents about different types of natural disasters that can occur in the state of California, how to create a disaster preparedness backpack, and provided many resources one can access during an emergency. In addition, each parent that attended this workshop went home with a disaster preparedness backpack starter kit. We are grateful for community partners such as Universidad Popular that are here to support our school community.
