Breaking News… This past month beautiful spaces crew has been working hard to clean out the gated garden near the portables. We are almost ready to turn it over to Miss Brady‘s class for a six grade project and to our TK special education classes for a sensory garden. #wearecrew

Help us be additional eyes and ears on the street to promote student and pedestrian safety as they walk, bike scooter to and from school. Help us promote safe routes to school & physical activity in celebration of Safe Walk, bike and roll day! Kinder families are invited to our first Family Day at Lunch at Conway Academy on Friday, October 18th. Conway Academy in partnership with Education Compact, Escondido Police Department and Safe Routes to School California invite families to take part of our Safe Walk to school event. Every year, communities around the nation come together during the month of October in efforts to promote safe routes to school, more physical activity in their daily routine and more! Conway Academy families and community members are invited to walk to school with the support of EPD & our Conway Academy Safe Walk Crew. We will then proceed with our Thursday Crew Assembly and listen to an EPD officer share the importance of walking, riding, biking and rolling to school. GATE Screening: The Escondido Union School District is pleased to continue to offer the Gifted and Talented Education program. For GATE identification, all 2nd-grade students will have the opportunity to participate in universal screening in November. In addition, parents and teachers may recommend students to be GATE screened if they were not previously screened in grades 3 through 8. Parents can pick up a Parent Background and Input Form in the school’s front office and should return it to the school by Friday, October 18. A school team will review requests and determine which students will be eligible to be screened in November. Parent notification letters will be mailed to all 2nd-grade families as well as families of students who are currently Provisional the week of October 7th. Conway PTA invites families to an all ages Movie Night Friday September 20! The movie that they will be showing is Inside Out 2.
