Conway Academy is excited to celebrate Teacher Appreciation week May 5 - 9!
Join in the fun this week and show appreciation for our wonderful teachers with the following daily suggestions.
Monday : Thank you for helping us BLOOM!
Bring your teacher a flower to thank them for helping your knowledge bloom and grow everyday!
Tuesday : Just like flowers need water to thrive, our teachers need hydration too!
Bring your teacher their favorite beverage or a gift card for a special drink!
Wednesday : Thank you for nourishing our minds and hearts.
Nourish your teacher today with their favorite candy or snack!
Thursday : Just like flowers, teachers help color our world!
Wear your teacher’s favorite color and/or bring them a gift in that color to brighten their day.
Friday : Roses are red, violets are blue - today tell your teacher how much they mean to you!
Write your teacher a note or draw them a picture to thank them for their hard work.

Happy admin assistants day! The best office crew ever, Miss Angie, Miss Juana, and Mr. Carlos. Thank you for all you do. 💙

This year’s Better World Week theme at Conway Academy of Expeditionary Learning is "Hands in Action, Hearts in Service." Students are leading projects that celebrate the spirit of service, teamwork, and environmental stewardship, taking action to care for their community and the planet. From creating a sensory garden and planting native bushes to cleaning up litter and designing awareness campaigns, students in transitional kindergarten through sixth grade lead projects that reflect their responsibility, kindness, and commitment to making a difference. Through these meaningful acts of service, Conway students are growing together and showing what it means to build a better world, one action at a time.

UPDATE!
Due to our rainy weather last week, we had to reschedule our 3rd Grade Family Day at Lunch to
Friday, March 21
from 12:30 pm - 1:10 pm
in the MPR.
Families are invited to bring a store bought, homemade meal or purchase a school lunch here to enjoy with their student.
We understand how important it is for parents to be involved in their children's school experience, and we truly value the opportunity for families to join us for lunch. However, in line with the district's wellness policy, we kindly ask that you provide food only for your student(s) and refrain from bringing food to share with other students. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all students, as not all families are aware of other students' food allergies and the seriousness of these conditions.
We encourage families to RVSP before Thursday March 19.
Click on the link provided below to RSVP.

Congratulation's to Miss Juana, our EPIC attendance clerk. She works tirelessly in her role and never hesitates to do the work of two clerks. We all saw this firsthand the week of SLCs when it was just her. She does everything possible to do her job accurately and as quickly as possible. She always goes above and beyond her duties to best support our school staff, families and students. She is the face of Conway and welcomes all our families with a smile even when it’s not reciprocated.
She is very attentive to detail. It is impressive how she knows most of our students and families stories or specific situations. In fact, she prioritizes safety. No one can get past Juana as she makes sure to verify all visitors and guests. But what makes her even more special is how she drops everything she is currently working on to listen to others needs and support in whichever way possible. Miss Juana truly embodies Crew in everything she does and deserves to be our Classified staff member of the year!
