As 2025 comes to a close, it is only natural to look back on the year that was. It was a year of great change, but it was also a year of great sorrow. In late November, the Mission community lost one of our 6th Grade Wildcats to a tragic accident. By all accounts, Aiden was a bright soul poised for a bright future who touched those around him for the better.
It is with great sadness and reflection that we look back on Aiden's life here at the end of 2025 on the eve of what would have been his 12th birthday. Click HERE to view the memorial slideshow at YouTube not only as a celebration of the beautiful soul that Aiden was, but also as a reminder of what could have been.
Although Aiden is no longer with us, he will always remain so long as he is remembered by those he touched and those who loved him the most.
❤️

FYI, 8th Grade Wildcats and Wildcat Families …
Great news! EUSD is offering a 5-day/4-night camp experience for 7th and 8th Grade students during Spring Break (April 6-10, 2026) at ***no-cost*** to families provided by EUSD's Expanded Learning Program. This camp opportunity is SEACAMP San Diego, an organization outside the Escondido Union School District.
SEACAMP includes a week of exciting marine exploration and learning. Students will engage in highly physical, interactive activities, such as marine labs, snorkeling, kayaking, boogie boarding, walking to beaches and among tide pools, and even a boat trip. Through these activities students will learn concepts in the fields of oceanography, marine biology, ecology, and physiology. Campers will also learn about careers in these various fields.
